What happened?

For those who do not know it, the G20 is the main forum for international economic cooperation.

Held in these days in Rio de Janeiro, an important but difficult deal on climate finance was reached.

Structuring this deals coincides with ongoing discussions at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, where climate finance is still a controversial topic.

It is important to remember that the G20 countries represent nearly aroung 80% of global GDP and a substantial share of carbon emissions.
